Yeah so I tried to take a photo a day and failed miserable, with work, kids, and just a plan lack of time I failed to complete my goal of taking a photograph a day. I was disappointed in my lack of being able to complete my goal, but I still enjoy trying to take photographs.
Here are a couple of shots I took on a recent vacation to Oregon:
So a few weeks back I was able to buy a new Nikon D200 with a 18-135mm lens, as part of my quest to be a better photographer I decided to start taking a photo a day.
Easy enough right? But I want to challenge myself and take a descent photo a day, or just maybe a unique photo.
Here are some of the photos I’ve taken so far. I’m posting them to www.flickr.com:
Take a look, leave a comment, tell me what you think of my photos so far.
With the release of Mootools 1.1 I look forward to adding some of the new features and recoding the (E)2 Photo Gallery.
As a bonus to the new release over at mootools, they’ve added a new Demo section.
I am excited to get started using Mootools 1.1 and see what I can do with it on the next version of (E)2 Photo Gallery.
So I’ve been working on my house that my Wife and I bought about 3 weeks ago and it’s kept me from working on website stuff, but it’s been a blast to get some physical construction work done. We bought a house built in ‘79 and though it was in really good condition we wanted to do some upgrades and make the home feel more open.
We opened up the wall between the living room and the dinning room with 10 foot arched walkway and put to open 3 foot arches about 4 feet up the wall on the other side.
We are also updating the kitchen and a few other things. Here are some photos of the mess and construction.

We officially launched Brandon Procotor Photography’s website. We’ve been working on it for awhile and were able to get all the content and he was able to get all the photos he wanted together, so we pushed it live.
Brandon’s site uses the (E)2 Photo Gallery and some cool effects for the mouse overs using mootools javascript library.
I’ve been working on my own flavor of a Site Showcase. I love websites that highlight or feature good web design or cool and upcoming technology for the world wide web. I also love photography and I love seeing web sites that showcase it, so I decieded to combine the two and create: Favorite Photo Gallery - a website dedicated to showcasing amazing photography.
As part of the Favorite Photo Gallery site, I am using Wordpress to manage the site. One of the major components is the “Add to My Favorites” functionality. A wordpress plugin I created myself. I hope to release it as a wordpress plugin sometime soon, but I’ll need to tweak it a little cause it’s so customized to Favorite Photo Gallery.
If you’re using the (E)2 Photo Gallery, I’d also be excited to see that, and who knows you might even get highlighted. (Not that I’d be biased to it at all). Or if you know of any sweet photo gallery site, with cool photography, Suggest a Site/Photo Gallery to be showcased on Favorite Photo Gallery
I was showcased on a couple of web design showcase sites. Pretty excited to see my work on some sites that highlight good designed web sites.
I was shown on Screenalicious , Most Inspired, and Daily Slurp (click on 25th of Feb).
I love going to these kinds of sites, they always have good links to some pretty good looking web sites.
Here are couple of other Show case sites I like to visit.
Update: (E)2 Interactive has been added to a couple of more Site Showcases.
